Owen Sound Attack 2024-25 Season Thread, Part II

A quick question for you Owen Sound folks. We haven't been to the sound in a little while. Any suggestions on where to eat before the game. I'll look the up if there are recommendations. I did see something Boot and Blade? Not sure what it's like? We are also not picky, like to support local so no chains if possible. Thank you all that reply
Definitely try the Boot and Blade. A couple of blocks from the rink on 2nd Avenue East at 11th street. Family run, good food and the walls are covered with historic hockey and lacrosse photos.

Man oh man show some heart. Looks like they are just going through the motions out there. Londons goalie looks shaky, get some effing shots on net boys. Oh wait hat wasn’t an icing either.. bush league call there

Another solid effort by the Attack tonight .

The last three games, the Attack scored 8 goals against Elliott.

Tonight the blueline featured two rookies .

The Knights are absolutely the best collection of junior players in the land .

That the Attack have gotten progressively better game over game is a testament to their no quit approach .

I'm pleased with the team's progress and proud of our guys

This season has been nothing but massive steps forward.

Even down 3 games in this series with the Knights, they have competed hard shift in and shift out in all 3 playoff games I've seen. With a potential 1 game remaining on this season I see no reason to not see this team continue into compete to the final buzzer.

The biggest thing I've seen week in and week out is development, development of the returning players and the rookies in big ways.

I remember hearing management and coaches echo the statement when coach Wray was hired at the start of the season. "We want to get back to Owen Sound Attack Hockey", "Back to that hard-nosed blue collar teams."

As this season progressed they have from what I've seen delivered on that expectation, even with all the new coaches this season and 11 new players who weren't here last season. This team is trending in the right direction win or lose.

The Bear’s have been full marks, never taking a shift off and attacking with all they can. I have to commend the effort, without it the gap would be cavernous between these two teams.

Been a surprisingly entertaining series, as a Knights fan I am glad it wasn’t a complete cakewalk and the boys had to work to eat their dinner.

We’ll see what happens tomorrow night.

London provides the Attack with a blueprint for what they need moving forward. Number one in my mind is a puck moving defenceman with some offensive skills.

Hookey is our Red Tilson Trophy nominee for league MVP. Well deserved I think. Even if George is by far our best player, Hookey had an incredible season and the team wouldn't be in the playoffs without the shift in the room slapping the C on his jersey brought.

Wish you hey would shoot more. Londons goalie has been shaky all night.. get the puck on net boys.
It would be nice if some of the forwards actually learned to pass the puck, instead of always trying to stay in the limelight, and maybe they should try passing back to the defence, so that they can cycle, but haven’t seen any of that at all at any time this season.
You can see London pulling the defenseman away from the net, by moving the puck from one side to the other and then leaving an opening for the forward out front, to just slap it right in.
