Scary to think where the team would be if not for an historic hot streak from our top line. Today a great example of what happens when they aren't finishing (though the top line was still buzzing).

Lines 2-4 and the d pairs feel really static and stale. But the lineup card keeps looking really similar game after game.

Would like to see Zurawski given some new linemates, feels like he's on an island trying to create chances. I feel like him with Nansi, and then centred by Crawford could be a fun line.
I've thought the same thing about Zurawski. He's driving that second line almost by himself with his linemates not really offering much. Problem with putting Nansi with him is that they are both right wingers though stylistically it could make sense. Nansi was drafted as a center, given the state of the Attack's center depth chart, could you try him down the middle on line two for a bit with Zurawski? I'll take anybody other than Waddick on line two at this point but I'm still on the idea of throwing Varosyan up there for a few games for a look. If you could find some pieces that fit with Zurawski he'd really take off like Mbuyi I think, the talent is there.

Next season, I suspect Zurawski simply slots up to replace Hookey on line one and then the decision likely comes down to Delisle vs Dec at center. I think I'd lean towards Mbuyi - Dec - Zurawski and then Wray - Delisle - Nansi on line two. I think Crawford slots in at 3C and then the rest of the lineup is TBD.

I'd try 17, 8 and 16.

The boys have been gelling really well on this homestand.

Despite a solid effort they aren't playoff bound , that is yet to be determined .

Still very much a work in progress as we saw today .

One of the best parts of junior hockey is watching your alums play on the biggest stages - and Owen Sound is the only team in Canada that can say they produced both the U20 men's starter and senior national team starter this season.

Watched the Attack play rather than the other game going on, and that was one of the biggest wins of the season. This road trip may not be do-or-die, but it's pretty close, and getting the first win against Barrie is huge. Arguably their best road game of the season and Mbuyi-Delisle-Hookey once again dominant.

Hope McDonald is okay after the Aitcheson hit.

The boys are officially eighth in the West this morning, and only two points behind the Sting for 7th. The Soo game on Sunday is the biggest one but with another struggling team now in their crosshairs, the Attack have a couple of pathways to a playoff spot. Can't wait to watch both games this weekend.

I didn't watch the game .
Was Atcheson hit predatory ?

Ontario Hockey League - first highlight of the video.

No penalty on the play (Barrie even went down and scored) but shades of Halmo on Yakupov. McDonald had the puck in his feet and his head was down. He didn't finish the game and based on how hard that hit was... I'd expect he's pretty concussed at least.

Predatory, no. McDonald cut to the middle on a 1 on 3 and fumbled the puck for a fraction of a second and got blown up. I think the primary point of contact was the chest but may have got the head after primary point of contact but it also looked like McDonald's head bounced off the ice afterward as well. Ugly result but I think the hit itself was fine.

A guy is knocked out on the ice and no whistle and Barrie comes down and scores.. but what upset me the most was the fact that no one stood up for his teammate.. I’ve seen players jump guys when they hit Mbuyi far less harder than that hit.. I dunno if your teammate gets drilled like that you have to standup for him.. no matter if was clean or not.. you fight for your brothers.

See attached images.

While not a bigtime instigator against a guy who didn't want to fight back, Varosyan went right after him when he hit happened.

All in all a fun, dominate win. And think if it this way, you were complaining about a lack of secondary scoring, they got 2 goals from the 2/3rd lines, which is what they need to win. They may just make the playoffs, which shocks me given how young they are.

Fun team to watch

6 shots 2 goals for the Wolves.. I think you ride Carter until he needs a break.. because After him just isn’t very good.. if you want to push to the playoffs he is playing his best hockey so you play him.. they have a day off tomorrow so no need to sit him tonight. But that’s just my opinion.

Not all on the goalie....bad pinches and missed assignments ruled the day
