Tim Connolly was the ultimate hairboy until he reported to Islander's camp and they hazed him and shaved his head. He never grew his hair out after that. I assume he found it was a lot cooler wearing a helmet without the mane.

I may be remembering wrong, but I think Connolly shaved his head during the lockout season while playing in Switzerland. I think it was either a team solidarity thing or maybe a friend or teammate with cancer? He then said it didn't grow back correctly after that so he kept it shaved. But yeah - he had a groovy flow.

Way off topic but...I've fantasized about trying to number crunch a different point system.

Unassisted goal - 4
Assisted goal - 3
Primary assist - 2
Secondary assist - 1

Double those values for shorthanded. Half them for powerplay.

Maybe I will start doing this with Owen Power. Not really, but a lame/fake attempt to get on topic.
