He will fill a similar role to Danault but will go about it in a very different way. Beck plays a much more linear, aggressive game and has much more of a shooter's mentality.
I would refer to Beck as more of a Steve Begin with a higher IQ and a nasty shot. Stylistically he is closer to Begin, Skrudland and a center version of Mike Keane. Danault is a very dedicated F3 who hunts passing lanes more than he applies pressure to opponents.
No two players are alike so I am not a fan of such comparison's other than to paint a general outline of their projection.
But you have to admit that Evans + is far more likely.
