Prospect Info: Owen Beck

I will agree with that for sure but maybe Beck gets to Evan's level (what we see today) a few years earlier. Age 25 vs 28 for example?

We will see... Beck is going to start out from the bottom and work hard to move up. Like Suzuki did. Suzuki started 4th line RW in the NHL... didn't last long.

Would you say Beck is a Suzuki light type? Smart like Suzuki and a true type center but not as much offense? If not Suzuki, who would you compare him to?

There is a very large gap between Suzuki's puck skills/vision and Beck's puck skill/vision. Beck plays a simple north/south game without a whole lot of creativity whereas Suzuki is far more dynamic and creative. Beck is much closer to Evans than he is to Suzuki.

Maybe Beck will be ready for the Phil Danualt role already next year: the two way guy between a playmaking winger (Demidov in the Radulov role) and a scorer (Laine in the Pacioretty role):

Caufield - Suzuki - Slaf
Laine - Beck - Demidov
Newhook - Dach - Anderson
Heineman - Evans - Armia/Gally

Young players, especially forwards, evolve quickly. You never know. The difference between beck and other more strictly offensive players is that he will earn his ice time because he won't cost us much if he isn't scoring.

Beck is 0-0-0 in 6 games right now. We are in big troubles if he start on our 2nd line

He was hurting the tank: "No player had a better expected-goal share than Owen Beck during his four-game stint." Per eyesontheprize... They'll bring him up when winning games will help the team.

He is playing 9:45 a game not having a point in 6 games is normal. Among players who played 5 games or more he's ranking 65th for the lowest amount of TOI. There's nothing wrong with him playing 9:45 it's a good way to bring him in slowly but obviously he's not gonna fill the net with such a low TOI most good established 4th line players play more than that.

How does he look? I've caught maybe 2 periods of this garbage team in the past 2 weeks , I did see him zing one off the post the other day though
You can see he knows how to play hockey and is getting use to NHL speed. He reminds me Danault when he started on our 4th line.
