Made a couple of good plays but overall was not good. I definitely needs the rest of the year in the A and now i'm thinking he might need another year down there.
This is what I expect out of #20 on a nightly basis.
There is zero reason to play Pezzetta over BeckBeck is a solid dude, he's got some nastiness to him. Might as well keep using him instead of Pezzetta and see if comfortability and repetitions at the NHL level get him to play his game more. His games prior to this one were pretty pedestrian and guarded.

Yeah Habs fans should be excited about Owen Beck who will be a very complete player for this team when they become a contender.Beck was awesome yesterday. I can't wait to see him again tonight.
So 2035?Yeah Habs fans should be excited about Owen Beck who will be a very complete player for this team when they become a contender.
He can replace him but doesn’t have to imitate him too!I think he can replace Dvo next year with his eyes closed
I say that with so many promising players on the horizon that the Habs will be legitimately good in 2-3 years, if not sooner. So 2035?
He is at a weird stage of development. It won't hurt him either way in Montreal or Laval. He will be back in Laval for a long playoff runBeck was much more involved in the play last night. His shot release, agility, and hard skills were more on display as he seemed more confident and comfortable out there. Hope he's able to see more minutes this evening.
That was an impressive sequence
The year after he was drafted I went to one of his games when he was still playing with Del Bel Belluz. If anyone remembers DBB was on most ranking lists higher than Beck and had outscored Beck. The game I went to Beck was just a dog down low, doing stuff like this, while DBB was floating on the perimeter and not going back the hashmarks. I immediately understood why Beck went higher than DBB. DBB is having a nice year in the pros this year, still might end up being the better player, but I think Beck is going to end up being a beast on the forecheck and down low. I think Beck is going to be able to generate offense from the boards down low which is not an easy thing to do in the NHL and is valuable especially int he playoffs.
