Things aren’t as bad as many think they are. Now that I’ve had a couple days to process. They had 108 points this season. Have the best goaltending tandem they’ve had in decades

Have a legit top 6 defense that looked incredible in game 6

Forwards lack depth and hopefully that can be fixed this summer

The big problem has been scoring in the playoffs and it’s clear it still is - games 4-7 the goals dried up

They need to stop trading draft picks and hopefully they get lucky picking up some unsigned guys

The team needs to look at how Florida plays and try to beat them at their own game. Florida has found the winning formula

Anyone that won’t buy into the team formula is moved. Nylander needs to either start playing both ends of the ice or he’s out

Need more offense from the blue line, a different guy than JT as the 2C, JT is too similar to Matthews.

More killers...like guys that will hack you, finish checks on you, more speed and more goals from that bottom 6. Our bottom 6 was bloody useless.

I watched this, Shanny seems like a given but I don't think Tree is in any danger.

Not quite the thread for this but I do think we're lacked a guy with real bite in the top 6 since Kadri left...

I think a guy to look at this off-season with Edmonton's cap crunch is Evander Kane, he has 1 year left.

Do you think Bennett or Tkachuk mess with Kane? He would absolutely feed them if they tried.

Plus he can play hockey.

The country club atmosphere needs to go, Tre didn’t change that so imho he’s part of the problem. Having said that he did ice the best D this teams had in a long time, but in my eyes he’s made as many bad moves as good, he needs to be better……..

Best goalie tandem in the league and our defense is the best since I have watched this team.

I'm 37 right now and I would say I really got into the team around 1999.

Always felt our defense dropped off after the top 2-3 guys pretty fast for those 2000's teams.

Meh. Been there, done that. I remember one goal of Babcock and Shanny coming in was to make the market "safe" so players would come here. Recall "they will come" Babcock quote that got a ton of air time when Tavares signed here.

End of the day, go deep in the playoff and players will want to come here.

hayes said all he had to do was put a hammer on that and say its nonsense. theres no pressure, its just hockey. yes we have failed here and we all need to be better including myself

It makes no sense.

What's the point of JT's goals when he can't skate? He is part of the furniture in the room which is also part of the problem.

The team can find other ways to win with more speed and more grit... Berube has only one playing style so it would be a decent idea to have the personnel.
