Question for posters who have a deeper knowledge of league rules:

Is there a reason why the Bulldogs have been able to keep four overagers past the trade deadline? Bujold has been the odd man out all year (I think someone posted that he's injured). Can they keep him on some kind of season-ending IR to not have him count toward their OA total?

In the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), an injured overage player can be carried without counting towards the roster if they have a physical or mental disability. The player must provide supporting medical documentation, which will remain confidential

I assume what the OP was referring to is more whether the player can be activated off of the “IR” after the OA deadline. If Brantford is allowed to carry four then I assume if/when Bujold is healthy, they can then active him and cut one of the other three OA’s. But, like most everyone else, I am jsut assuming that is the process.
