To be fair I think you could say Wayne also missed games, from WHA to the 94 lockout, probably the same amount of games?

for sure, I guess I'm looking to be more impressed by what Ovy did, even though the numbers are essentially the same, well Ovy did it in 1 less game.

I guess the consistency of Ovy popping in on average 44 goals over 20 years just blows me away. It's just remarkable someone caught a Gretzky record.

But the main factor is injuries, Matthews has missed a lot more time in his first nine season compared to Ovi (about 50 games less played).
