Ovechkin Milestone Thread - Countdown to 894

You're argument is flawed from the very beginning.

We aren't talking about a player like a Marleau who can score some goals, is soft as hell, doesn't hit anyone, has nothing to his game besides some goals, has some vision, a good guy in the locker room. I like Patty.

This is the greatest goal scorer of all time, Cup champion, too many awards to name, one of the best hitters to ever play the game, one of the hungriest, and a great teammate.

His lack of defensive prowess isn't a problem.

You also ignore that he is an incredible passer.

A Russian truck that is durable, used to hit everything that moved, the best goal scorer GOAT, a great passer, and a great teammate.

Go ahead and tell us why you REALLY don't like Ovechkin.

I can probably guess.

Some of us watched his entire career. Some of us remember a player who was among the most exciting and dangerous on the rush that the league has ever seen. He floats now, yes. Probably because he's old and has a lot of wear and tear.

What`s wrong? 1 of 3, Moscow isnt his home town

Malkin has US citizenship along time ago, we know about that since late 2019

What’s citizenship have to do with it? Soviet defector Sergei Fedorov is a US citizen and finished his career in the KHL and later coached for the Red Army. A lot of these guys take US citizenship for reasons of convenience, or dual residency. If I'm not mistaken a lot of these guys have vacation homes in Florida but mostly reside in Russia.
I don't see any reason Ovechkin or Malkin wouldn't finish their careers where they started, ending them full circle.

Funny how all the most “durable” players are all floaters. Kessel, Marleau, Kane, Ovechkin, etc.

Amazing what not playing defense, battling along the boards, or blocking shots will do for one’s durability.

Funny how all the most “durable” players are all floaters?

Here's a list of the most durable players in history. There aren't lot of floaters here.

apparently all you

need to do to

be on your way to

finishing #1 all time in goals

and as the top winger in assists

win a stanley cup and a conn smythe

captain one of if not the winningest

regular season team during your career

and record a 1000+ positive goal differential

despite being on the ice every time your team pulls the goalie

is to float around

neat you should go try that

make millions of dollars

instead of shitting up this thread
