The last time they faced each other in-game was earlier this season. Ovi bagged a goal in regulation, but MAF stoned him in the final shootout attempt to get the win for Minnesota. Kind of a cool way to close out an epic rivalry, with each guy getting one last moment to shine vs the other.

Time flies. The 09 Pens-Caps series seems like it was yesterday! Amazing to think how much has changed about the game - and the world, for that matter - since these guys came into the league, and yet they're still playing at a high level 20+ years into their professional careers.

Classy move by OV.

One of the most under looked clutch saves was MAF on OV in Game 7 2009 ECF. MAF robbed him on a breakaway 3 mins into the game. Pens went on to win the game in a blowout. I’m sure it isn’t a blowout without that save setting the tone, and who knows if the momentum of an early goal makes that game go the Caps way.
