Thanks to all of you for your answers. I checked Iginla, thought about maybe some of the players from the earlier era who could have done it quietly.
So it appears that Ovechkin holds the record for the lead combination, while Howe has a record for the goal leads with 11 and Gretzky hold the point leads record with 13. Really shows Ovechkin's great longevity and highlights Caps' lack of top depth (he even led the team with mediocre 65 points in 2011-12 and 32 goals in 2010-11).
Another thing that I noticed when looking at the stats, that Howe only lost the points lead once during 1950-1964: if not for Dutch Reibel, he would have Gretzky beat and lead the Red Wings for amazing 14 consecutive years! May I ask a question while we're still here: what's the story behind Reibel? I read that he was extremely upset after being traded from the Wings, but what made him a candidate for trade first? What made his game fall off after 3 extremely strong seasons - an injury, or maybe he just lost the fire after winning 2 Cups?
Of the top of my head, Stamkos lead Tampa by 35 goals in his 60 goal season, and obviously Brett Hull's historic 1990-91 86 goal campaign, when he led the entire NHL by 35 goals and had an astonishing 59 goal lead on Geoff Courtnall, the Blues 2nd best goal scorer! Also led St.Louis by 38 goals the year before and by 37 goals the year later.
