It's not about the type of player they are it's the type of person they are. You are using Dubas-logic here. You actually have to talk to the player to get to know the person. Think of Ken Holland's approach with the Red Wings. He always wanted to know from his scouts who were the big guys that couldn't get it done and who were the small guys that would never stop. It's that kind of mentality. Some people can find a million reasons not to do something, you want the guys who can always find one reason to keep going filling your locker room up. That kind of thing is contageous.

Gretzky is the best goal scorer of all time PERIOD
92 in a season
87 in 74 games
add a couple 70+ seasons and nobody can touch that goal scoring resume.

Dispsy doodlers to win a Cup that come to mind
Point
Yzerman
Marty St Louis
LaFontaine
Modano

Kuznetsov, Kane, Datsyuk. But if you just mean a smaller skilled guy who doesn’t play a heavy game, Tyler Johnson or Phil Kessel come to mind.

Let’s not go there. On the spectrum of dipsy doodle dandies, Mitch Marner would be closer to a Kyle Wellwood than a Wayne Gretzky.

Bobby Orr......he could do it all including killing a 2 minute penalty by himself with some fine dipsy doodling........

He was far and away the fastest player of his generation

Not a comparable to the way Marner plays

Playing in a high scoring era effects his totals. He’s still a top-10 goal scorer, maybe top-5... but there are a few guys better.

I’m not sure any of those guys match the criteria, aside from maybe Lafontaine
