Dubas's name is popping up in a lot of current G.M. openings. Pittsburgh is apparently interested in him too. He'll have a ton of interest if Leafs do let him walk. Unlike Bergevin, he'll actually get another G.M job.

The attraction for him is that he is young and if you want to start over he may be the guy to focus at drafting. Again it's just a perception.

It should be good one as there's only one team in the east that has the centers to shutdown McJesus and Draisaitl and it's LA with Danault and Kopitar....still, I have Edmonton in 6

Kopitar has really slowed down. Don't see Danault having much affect on McDavid. Maybe Draisaitl.

The big difference this year is Doughty. He'll get the McDavid assignment. He was injured last year.

Kings are missing players yet again due to injury. Fiala is out. Oilers are relatively healthy again.

Oilers will take it in 5, maximize 6 games.

Also, Draisaitl isn't playing on one ankle so going against a healthy McDrai is going to be an uphill challenge for the Kings.

He's into analytics, which Pittsburgh wants to be more involved in. Apparently, they don't have an analytical department, and don't use much in the way of advanced stats.

The new owners own the Red Sox, who tried to steal Billy Beane from Oakland As when he kick started the whole analytics craze in baseball - successfully. They probably view Dubas as hockey's version. Toronto has been an organization deep into advanced stats, including using pNHLe for draft prospects, and with the NHL team itself.

Toronto hasn't had playoff success, but they have had strong regular season teams, and are deep organizationally (Marlies are always good) since he's been G.M.
