I have read the whole thing, IMO there's no way he didin't know this, players knew and even bullied him the year after, coaches, HR, management knew. etc. There's no way Bergevin didin't know if we play logically here.

Prove it.

Lol, easy to say when you're not living the situation.
Yes...it's easy to say because it's easy to say.

Zero chance i'd play in that kind of environment. This isn't one of those situations where it's "if you were in it you would do different".

It's just common freaking sense

I’m sure every single Hawks employee at some point “heard something”, the report wasn’t about people hearing things, it was about who had actual access & knowledge of the what happened
HR had actual proof of knowledge, around 6-8 people had actual proof of knowledge.
Again, all management knew and the Higher up too.

Using this logic...there's no way no one in the NHL didn't know.

News travels.

The question, at least the legal one, isn't about who knew.

It's about who had the legal responsibility to report it.

But as a whole, i'm more disturbed by the players...the reaction from white-collar executives is pretty typical.

why do I have to prove to you that I don't trust that Bergevin knew nothing ? I don't , I just don't trust it by my own judgment after reading the whole thing.

Honestly, you are so biased that there is nothing that could change your mind about this. His name wasn't mentioned even once.

The world would be a wonderful place if common sense always prevailed but it doesn't.

Not saying you're a liar but you can't say you'd do this and that while sitting comfortably in your couch at home.

In this case…yes, yes… I absolutely could.

He can say what he wants. Who are you to question his character?

If Bergevin in 100% cleared when it's all said and done, do you think he could replace Bowman as Chicago GM ?
Wirtz said no executive from 2010 will ever work for Hawks org again.

Read into that as you will..:

90% of the names are anonymous in the report... you wouldn't know except if they were part of the big 5 meeting or if they came out.... just read it and come to your own conclusion.

It’s all good…I get where he’s coming from and don’t take offense to it.

Probably not a comment I should have made anyways, what I would have done is irrelevant.

It just really bothers me that his teammates didn’t back him up and even worse, taunted him for it.

I don’t expect white collar executives to do anything but sweep that under the rug, especially during a Cup run.

But the brotherhood of a team, I thought was way tighter and everyone looked out for each other.

I did read it, and his name wasn't on there. I am not going to assume anything regarding an issue like this because speaking someone's name who wasn't mentioned is not fair to that person.

I mean everybody on the internet always say this kind of stuff. "If I was there, I would've done that!" But at the end of the day (to quote Bergevin), most people wouldn't do anything. Nobody in the organization did anything except one dude but yo, watch out, us on HFboards, we would've kicked asses and taken names.

I'm not gonna pretend I'd be a hero in a situation I've never experienced.

I have read people saying that they should blow up the ENTIRE organization like Jeeeeeeesus, chill out a bit.

Yes, so you questioning his character is just projection. Got it.

Has nothing to do with being a hero…just a human being.

Now I admit, advancing what I would have done was irrelevant.

But this is just about supporting a teammate.

I don’t get how the same guys who will jump an opponent for a legal hit on one of their teammates…

would stay quiet on a situation like this.

But hey…that’s just me.

Other people not doing the right thing doesn't justify an individual not doing the right thing. Yes most people would have done nothing. I would have probably trusted the people over me to do the right thing and called it a day and go on with my life like if nothing hapenned. If i would have been at the top i would have probably done nothing either cause let's be honest you don't reach such a position by being a good guy you reach this kind of position by being a shark and this is why i'll never be at the top. Doesn't mean it's right to not do anything though.

The players getting off way too easy if you ask me.

There’s absolutely NO WAY, I’d be quiet as a player if I knew something like this had gone down.

I agree, especially with John Doe recounting the verbal abuse and bullying from the players after. I was referring to the Florida players though before.
