Agreed, at 6'6 and 6'5 on top of it. I tought WSH would ride Ovie till the end and end up in a painful rebuild but it looks like they're gonna draft their way out of a rebuild without missing a beat.

On top of that they have Leonard, Cole Hutson, Andrew Crystal, PLD 2.0, etc. A lot of misses in their drafting but they landed some solid players.

I'd feel bad for the Flyers/their fans about Drysdale being crap and Gauthier being a pretty good rookie if they didn't collude to get Michkov to only pick them and lie about playing three years in the KHL to screw over every team that picked before them.

It's actually insane how many bad contracts they still have even after dumping Farabee/Frost for nothing.

Hope their rebuild fails spectacularly. Which I don't see how it won't since they're in year 3-4 with a bunch of vets and young guys preventing them from bottoming out and Michkov as the only cornerstone piece. They're finally pacing for bottom three this year in a weak draft.

We should have gotten a little more, but I'm not sure we get Carrier if we don't move Kovacevic. I'm fine with how things turned out.

I don't think he would've gotten the same opportunities here if we kept him. He was always regarded as a temporary 3rd pairing D until Rein/Mailloux can take over.

We probably could've gotten a 3rd if we waited, but Hughes wanted to see what we had in Barron and the only way to give him the opportunity was to trade Kovacevic, which I'm ok with.

We got back Carrier in return and he'll fit nicely as a 3rd pairing guy whenever Rein/Mailloux can play 2nd pairing.
