I’m not worried long term. Slaf has shown in bits and pieces what he can be. It’s normal for kids to struggle a bit when breaking in at such a young age.

But I was definitely hoping for more this year. He finished last season so well.

I was hoping for more consistency in his game throughout the year but he still has less than 200 games played in his career. By the end of next year, we should start to see what he'll eventually top out at.

Yeah I was hoping he'd take a bigger step this season after last season's 2nd half but it's a non-linear process and patience is key. That said, I'm thinking his ceiling is lower than I had hoped.

I agree I was hoping he would show that "He gets it" more than he has.
The physical traits are there but the mental and finesse side of his game is still lacking IMO.
I think I mentioned in his thread he has a ton of detail work he needs to iron out.
