Rangers just got way better but they also have added a headcase.

The prodigal son returns to NY.

J.T. Miller should definitely help NYR make the playoffs.

I like Chytil. He's actually a terrific 2-way player. He'll get more opportunity for offensive chances in Vancouver than he did in New York where he was behind Zib & Trochek. He's had to over come some serious injuries though & has a bad concussion history.
The one prospect that Vancouver got, some kid named Mancini might end up being a good player.

Yes, he's developing really well. It's a tough trade for Canucks, but Miller had an NMC. Vancouver did ok. I think Chytil will help & can play the defensive style that Tocchet likes. He has size & speed, and is 25. 7 years younger than Miller.

Not really, JT just hated EP and the GM, can't blame him, great player. Canucks got f***ing hosed, again. The nucks have a way of creating angry players , GM couldn't shut his fat mouth

Miller's numbers will crater without a system built around him. Rangers don't have the elite talent to surround him with.

Dude was a 50 point guy his entire career before getting to play on the PP with Hughes and Petersson.

While he did lead the team in scoring a bunch he also was the recipient of finishing the plays of two elite playmakers. Who knows if he'll ever find that chemistry with others.

Panarin and Fox are elite...

Panarin, Kreider and company are all at the point where they're aging in the wrong direction. Last season sure I would surefire argue panarin is elite. A one way winger who's floating at a point per game isn't elite though.

I'm also of the opinion fox was never in the Hughes Makar tier and didn't deserve his Norris. I would still call him elite but not the type who is going to inflate his entire team's numbers like Hughes.

Rags are dumping young assets with room to grow for an extremely long shot at the cup. Team simply isn't good or deep enough to win it all. They're retooling in the wrong direction.

I see first round exit if they even make the playoffs. Which isn't likely, they're already out of reach of top 3 in the metro and competiting against Tampa and Boston for a wildcard spot. Detroit and the Islanders are hot as well. They have the same points percentage as us.
