No more teams with wonky goal differentials holding down wild card positions.
Get Green or go home.

Boston was a huge outlier. At minus 23, they have the 2nd worst differential in the East (Pittsburgh is minus 36).

However, Calgary still holds down a WC spot in West despite being -12.

Montreal is working they're way to positiveness, although last night put a dent back into it.

I can't believe Bruins were up 5-3 and blew it in the last 3-and-a-half minutes. Also how the hell do you allow Norris to setup in the high slot like that? Bruins we're so stationary. Zero pressure. Crazy times.

Swayman went for the goalie goal, but he ended up turning it over in a dangerous spot. The bruins were already struggling with their coverage, but now the bruins were trying to recover from a bad turnover.

Swayman definitely compounded the problem with his strange choice.

Yeah I saw Calgary but didn't want to jinx it. :sarcasm:

We aren't as good as Ottawa, unfortunately.

Someone posted that the shots were 18-3 devils after the first period? The fact that it was still scoreless was a bad sign.

You can never trust Ottawa to be out of the woods though. They have accumulated alot of peices over the years in their perpetual rebuild but they still show their volatility and they have Travis green behind the bench.

Claude Giroux has done wonders for that club I notice they aren't having problems integrating youth in their bottom six. We need to pay to get us a Claude Giroux type of center I prefer to dump our UFA's because it will cost us $$$ and assets.

Giroux swapped to wing almost ten years ago because he's too slow for the NHL at ES. He takes draws still but functionally is a RW.

But yeah I'd rather have good vets like him than Gallagher.

Evans, armia and heinemen are our 4th-6th highest scoring forwards as our fourth line. At least Gally, Andy and Dach are now tied with heinemen, albeit with more games played.

Really just dump dvo and Gally. Andy has earned a bottom six spot despite being overpaid.

It's our second line that was sinking us all season. Demidov and healthy Laine makes a big difference.

The issue is the best available center ufa who is not 100% re-signing with their current club is Jake Evans who already plays here.

Time for Boston to fall. Been good way too long. Glad we passed them in standings.

Lindholm not working out. Swayman contract was handled badly. Management shift in off season if Bs can't turn it around

You don't think Bedard and Michkov aren doing well?

I'd say relative to the hype, Carlsson, Fantilli and to a lesser extent Smith have not met the expectations. It doesn't mean they are busts, it just underline the difficulty for young players to make an impact right out of the gate. It puts into perspective Slafkovsky's struggles.

It also puts into perspective that Sid, Ovie, Malkin, McDavid and Matthews are the exception, not the rule.

I had no issue with those guys on the list, that's why I didn't mention them.
