I tried to tell y’all, but no, “Igor deserves the money”.

Of course, contract hasn’t kicked in yet, but I’d be concerned about this 8 yr deal if I were a NYR fan.

His team really doesn't help

Yesterday the 5 he gave up I'd say none were really on him.

Ridly Greig had 4 NHL fights and has lost all of them.

Sens fans go and vote for him so it's 92% for the player that beat him up instead of 100%

Ovechkin with 2 goals so far today. He's at 881 and is 13 goals back of Gretzky.

Oilers getting hammered again. It's 5-1 Caps after 2.

Unless they have an amazing comeback in 3rd, it'll be their 3rd consecutive loss, and they'll be 2-4-0 in February with TBL & Florida next on the schedule.

6-2. The caps are just playing hard and trying to set up Ovy.

Caps just hemming them in

Hes been the mvp of that franchise. The problem with goalies league wide is that there doesn't seem to be the consistency that we were used to seeing especially at the top end, or goalies are breaking down quicker than before.

People talk about pettersson in Vancouver, but demko just got hurt again, and never seems to be healthy anymore. This guy is as good as anyone in the league when healthy.

Goalies are probably the players that make me most nervous in a cap world when it comes time to make a large commitment.
Yes, this consistency was my point earlier in the season.

You look at the top skaters, they happen to be mostly the top money earners.

You look at the top goalies, and it’s more of a mixed bag. It’s risky signing then to long term contracts. Same with drafting them. … or even picking for team Canada - folks were doubting just months later.

Eric Comrie on the growth of hockey: "It's ridiculous how expensive it's and it kind of grosses me put thinking about how hard it's for kids to play the game."
