HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2025 Playoff edition

For me, easily. I watched all of Jagrs prime and Draisaitl is just much more of a money player on top of playing the more valuable position. He's not high maintenance like Jagr was and I doubt you'll ever hear him cry about how he's dying alive.
Myself I lean towards Jagr.

The way Draisaitl protects the puck while he's in stride or is doing crossovers is insane. It's funny because his skating and puckhandling has some McDavid qualities to it. This is why you want talented players with other talented players. Draisaitl would have been a 70+ point center, but I'm not sure he's 128 point Draisaitl without watching McDavid daily.

And Stars score after another weak penalty call by the idiots.

He's legitimately brain dead. Looks like Scheifele if Scheifele had a massive stroke.
Benn and Marchment's lack of discipline continues to hurt the Stars and Duchene keeps playing scared in the playoff and forces plays. Wouldn't be surprised if all three and Seguin are gone for next year.

Their play is making me cold on both Marchment and Duchene, who were targets as far as I was concerned. But, we can't be wasting 4 year+ deals on high AAV on players like these.

Dallas has so many good players that it almost looks like everyone expects the other to take charge. Meanwhile, everyone on Edmonton is just trying to match McDrai's intensity levels. Dallas is still very much in it, they're insanely talented, but someone will need to wake up if they want to make this a series.

Nah man who wants these older players on the Habs. We should go for younger players like Perry ;)

Nugent Hopskins now with 4 games in a row with 2+ points. Also second player in NHL history to have 8+ points in the Western Conference Final (first was Gretzky)

I wasn't really a fan because he seemed super soft an was a McDrai product, but I'm wondering if RNH is a target. They have Bouchard and some forwards to sign with only 12 million in cap space.

Edmonton has a lot of offensive skill, but they have two skills that are extremely underrated: their stick skills defensively and their ability to absorb hits and use their body as leverage. Those are two things our squad of inexperienced players are so bad at.

To be fair so was Edmonton a few years ago . Having playoffs warriors like Perry leading by example sure helps teach and inspire the others

I've always wanted RNH personally. I'd take him any day. He's one of the most underrated players in the league. He can play anywhere, on any line and is kind of like Monahan, he just understands the game.
