HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2025 Playoff edition

Looks like Florida is off to the finals for a 3rd straight year.

Great job by Zito to build that roster. Florida went from a team who made the playoffs 6 out of 26 times (before Zito), and of those 6 I’ve included making the qualifying round in 2020 (where they lost), to going to the Finals in 3 out of 5 of their season from 2020-21 to 2024-25.

Damn this is insane, I did something else at 1-1, returned to the game and it's 5-1! :amazed: Florida is such a well oiled machine.

Strange thing is that Carolina is a good team but they lack the killer instinct. If I were them, I would try everything to get Brady Tkachuk.

They lack talented forwards that can be game breakers and make a difference.

Their second line being centered by either Roslovic or Kotkaniemi should tell you all you need to know about the quality of their forwards.

i just realized something, KK reminds me of the guy from Lonely Island

I mean, we all knew that. Leafs - Panthers was the real ECF. Metro sucks. Leafs absolutely flamed out though. I still can't quite comprehend their performances in G5 & G7.
Totally my fault. When it was 3-1 in game 3, I wrote here that they would reach the SCF easily. I jinxed them.

You can send me a thank you note ;)

They are also getting bullied physically.

But losing Necas and Rantanen in the same time frame was not very smart.
The brand of hockey they play is not attractive for talented offensive players. It stiffles them. That's why both Necas and Rantanen wanted out.

They can stick with Brind'amour and stagnate forever or they can get a coach that will bring a system that players will like.

You may be right. I also heard that the city itself is not popular.

Gotta love Carolina for being the model of consistency in the modern NHL. Every year they are guaranteed to make a 2nd round, maybe a 3rd round but will never make it past that
I still prefer losing in the third round (Carolina) over losing in the first round. The Metro division is so weak right now.
