Oh, the libellous comments written here about Lehkonen, Armia, Danault, the coaching, (Suzuki !!), etc … all to back a donkey in the race! lol
They couldn’t prop up KK without blaming someone else. Why? Because there was nothing there to prop up. Couldn’t skate, couldn’t shoot, couldn’t pass. Still can’t.

It doesn't matter what the pick turned into cause the chances we would have drafted the same player are thin. What matters is who was avalaible around that pick.
With the 1st round pick : Bystedt, Kulich, Lamoureux, Howard,
With then2nd it's a 2024 pick : Cole Hutson and some others it'S a 2024 pick hard to know at this point.

It was the first time MB traded a 1st round pick, but it was the 1st they got from CAR for the offer sheet.
Arizona traded that pick to San Jose in order to take Connor Geekie at 11th OA (they send SJ a bunch of other picks). And San Jose in turn took Filip Bystedt with the pick MTL traded to get Dvorak. It was the 27th OA pick, which was the pick after Montreal used to take Mesar.
MTL had 2 x 1st round picks in 2022 (their own and CAR's). When they traded one for Dvorak, the condition was that ARI would get the worse of the two picks, which ended up being CAR's at 27th. MTL's own 1st was the 1st OA pick they took Slaf with.
