I remember thinking posters were insane when they claimed he was overpaid after his first contract, before he truly broke out. Then all that shit about Matthews not only being better than Draisaitl, but better than McDavid (LOL).

Draisaitl is in that conversation for second best forward in the league. The shortlist is small, it's basically him, MacKinnon and Barkov, with Kucherov close behind but Kuch neglects his defensive duties too much compared to those three.

I don’t have Barkov in that group. Doesn’t produce enough offensively.

He sacrifices a lot of offense for the best defensive game in the league, by far. He's Datsyuk at 6'3". There's a reason every player who plays with him considers him the best player they've ever seen.
