In honor of the Leafs loss lets all remember the time they were leading 4-1 against the Bruins in a game 7 and ended up losing 5-4 in OT. An all time classic.

I wouldn't call getting back 22M in cap space nothing.

Marner is a perimeter player who needs to go and they need to use that money to acquire a true #1 dman which they have not had since Borje Salming. They simply have too many expensive forwards and very little skill on the back end and need to strike a better balance.

Treliving needs to move Rielly as well to make room for such a player as Rielly is a poor defender and has always been overrated offensively as he doesn't create much and has been a huge benefactor on 2nd assists with Marner and Mathews.

I personally hope Marner stays and they keep running these losers back every year.

Both Nylander and Marner tend to carry Matthews who continually misses 10 to 20 every games and is as anti clutch as anyone on the team and usually gets a free pass.
