Edmonton advances, Vegas eliminated...you love to see it
They’ll never say it on the mains but the Leafs fans are absolutely cooking Matthews on their board
Pretty random but I googled him and the rabbit hole came up with this Pronger interview that was a surprisingly enjoyable read. Looks like he’s a huge nerd, for hockey player standards at least. He was a great, great blueliner.
Buffalo needed a better neck expertWatching Eichel play... What was Buffalo thinking man. He's such a complete player, better defensively than Suzuki and not at all scared of physical play. Way stronger than he looks too.
We call him, Jekyll and HydeYES
Oilers win it!
2 SO in a row for Skinner, wtf is this dude lmao
The Oilers final run is one of my fondest hockey memories. I watched every game. Pronger was absolutely brilliant.Incredible player, one of the only defencemen ever who could completely take over a game by himself that wasn’t an offensive superstar
Jeff Skinner: 0 goal allowed in 127 minutes
Look at the number of hall of famers Dryden and Roy played with. Price had Shea Weber for a couple of playoff runs but nothing else. Dryden said something years ago that really stuck with me and that was “I was a good goalie that played on great teams and Price is a great goalie that plays on good teams.” He was being generous with the “good teams” part as half of his career, you couldn’t even call the teams Price played for good. They were average to flat out bad.I don't see Price as a money goalie. He was always good because that's what he was, but he never played red hot like Roy in 93' or Dryden in 71'.
Price was elite, but I saw him more like a Brodeur in the playoffs.
Remember the time when Price saved Suzuki's life from getting the puck in the head when he made an absolutely fantastic save, while Nick was protecting what was pretty much an empty net? I think it was against Philly.
Yeah, Carey was something else. We had some very poorly constructed teams and he still gave us a chance.
Price was so good he could obtain the win if you gave him 3 goals per game. It rarely happened, unfortunately. Desharnais, Pleky and Danault couldnt get it done.Look at the number of hall of famers Dryden and Roy played with. Price had Shea Weber for a couple of playoff runs but nothing else. Between 2013-2021 no goalie w 20GP+ in the playoffs had a better sv %. That qualifies as “money goalie” IMOI don't see Price as a money goalie. He was always good because that's what he was, but he never played red hot like Roy in 93' or Dryden in 71'.

Hard to believe Leafs would fall like this. Just 5 days ago they we up 2-0 in games and 3-1 in Game 3.Brutal game by Leafs. Wow. I was not expecting that at all. Thought it would be more like game 3. Lol
Schedule more condensed, playing the same team every other night for two weeks . Refs let more go.NHL is the only pro sport where the game is radically different in the playoffs. There’s less space and time. Some players never adapt.

if the leafs get eliminated Marner can forget about a monster contract.I remember Tony Marinara saying Marner is better than Rantanen. Even Pierre McGuire vehemently disagreed with him on that one.
