Connor Hellebuyck in Regular Season vs Connor Hellebuyck in Playoffs

I just looked at the NHL standings since 2015 comparing with who won the cup each years and fun fact. None of the winner finished 1st in the league. Only 2 times the winners finished second.

So finishing 1st is completely useless and not an indication they will win the cup

Watching OHL Finals.....if London doesn't win the Mem Cup.....Insane to see Cowan-Halttunen-Dickinson and Bonk in a shift. Halttunen at 36 in 2023...what a steal.
Other than his absolute monster shot, I am not sold on Halttunen’s projectability at the NHL level.

But he’s been money in the OHL playoffs for two years in a row now, the potential is intriguing. Plus he’ll get to play with quality linemates/prospects in the San Jose system so we’ll see where he’s at 2-3 years from now.

Really solid game by Oettinger. He was the difference. Helleysuck gave up a shitty goal again.

Dallas leads the series 3-1 now. We'll see if they can close it out in game 5.

Winnipeg is just continuing the age old tradition of teams finishing 1st choking in the Playoff. Not sure why team even bother trying to finish 1st. Its not an actual advantage
You know what's common thing with the Winnipeg Jets and the Toronto Maple Leafs. They're teams of Canada. They're blue and white. And they can't pass the second round of the playoffs.

It's really come down to goaltending. Winnipeg has looked decent, but the goaltending difference is stark.

Dallas seems to get most of their chances when they go ahead and Winnipeg eventually opens up, but when the games are tight, it's literally oettinger keeping them in it.
