HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2025 Playoff edition

Hard to be sympathetic to any panther when the team set the precedent of intention to injure.

Also I do need to laugh at takchuk threatening anyone. Huge coward who turtles and hides behind the zebras.

Now as for the leafs they need to start shooting the damn puck, especially on the PP. Passing around the umbrella isn't going to get anyone open

William Nylander does not have low hockey IQ, get real.
That play for a veteran trying to force the pass up the middle while his teammate is outmanned is a very poor hockey IQ decision, which instantly led to a giveaway with Fla having an odd man rush

Someone with multiple years of playoff experience cannot make such a play at that time in the game - lack of situational awareness (down 1-0 in 3rd period)

Big deal, Cole Caufield was directly responsible on a very costly goal against in game 5, it doesn't mean he also has low hockey IQ. Mistakes happen, Nylander is one of the smartest players in the league and to say otherwise is laughable.

This was Caufield’s 2nd play of appearance vs 7th for Nylander - had Caufield made the same mistake in his 7th playoff experience yes … lack of situational awareness / low hockey IQ play

That means nothing. Draisaitl has been directly responsible for multiple goals against these playoffs, does he also have low hockey IQ? Do high hockey IQ players never make mistakes?

I think the 2nd dman being at the opponent blue line flat footer for no reason is a far bigger issue.

Nylander should have made the safe play but there was absolutely no reason for McCabe to be standing there flat footed. The first time i watched the replay i was very confused i was like where the f*** is the 2nd dman (i though McCabe was a winger since you see Patch just a short period of time).

It's common to a dman carrying the puck to switch position with a winger but that was not the case here. If a forward gets the puck out of the zone the dman should not act as a winger specially not late into the 3rd. If there's a turnover the forward will be stuck playing defense and you positively do not want that. McCabe should have been at his own blue line behind Nylander.

Looks like Pickard is a no go for oilers tonight. Stewart Skinner, baby!
Lol, watch... he'll pitch a shutout.

Can't wait to watch some playoff hockey tonight!

Is what I would say if it was any series other than Carolina Washington...at least we have Vegas Oil but it's so late :(
PST supremacy, I get home from work and watch back to back games almost every night and I’m still in bed by 9pm
