HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2025 Playoff edition

What exactly would they be losing?? Hockey in the States is a regional thing, they have horrible ratings nationally. Nobody in usa is watching any hockey unless their local team is playing. An all Canadian final would be insane up here...guaranteed record viewership lol.
Well,if you want to actually kill uncle Garry, that's a step in the right direction.lol

It looked like Skinner was aware of the clock and the fact the shooter had no passing options so he aggressively cut the angle. Skinner had a terrible game but that goal is on Draisaitl.
Not sure how can anyone think this goal is on Draisaitl. That goal is 100% on Skinner. If he stays in his net its an easy save. There was absolutely no reason to leave his net like that. It was a bad angle with no passing option and a guy protecting the front of the net. Skinner also deflected the pass from behind the net with his stick preventing any of his player to block it. It reminds me the goal Dipietro scored in 93 i think it was against Hextall in the 1st round. People back then made the joke that the goalie went out of his net "dix pieds de trop".

Barrett Hayton as No2 C?
Dunno

Barrett Hayton 24 years old
291GP 55G 130P -31 50.8FO% 16:02TOI (0.19 GPG 0.45 PPG 14 3671 faceoffs taken)

Kirby Dach 24 years old
269GP 43G 121P -51 36.1FO% 16:44TOI (0.16 GPG 0.45 PPG 1431 faceoffs taken)

He's been more healthy that Dach but outside of that dunno i'be not seen him play enough but can't recall noticing him in any Arizona / Utah games i watched, He's better on faceoffs and looks like a natural center which Dach is not but dunno i would not pay the moon for a guy who's been as productive as Dach so far,

Hayton reminds me Dvorak and Hanzal. You're like he just need one more little step to be a solid top 6 center but he's 24 and at this point might never take that step.

I'm bullish on Hayton, but it's fair to suggest Dach has a higher top 6 ceiling.

Would be a very good replacement for Dvorak, and having him, Dach & Newhook "competing" for the 2 middle 6 C spots until Hage steps in and locks that down would be pretty solid.

Don't know that Utah would make him available short of a hefty premium

up 2-1 and Edmonton is in deep doo doo

My how one play changes things. Not like Picard is close to Price level but thats not what Edmonton needs but uncanny how one injury likely turns the entire series

Skinner is a broken goalie. Last night first goal he flops like a beached whale. Second goal opens his leg wider than a 2 cent you know what

4 goal he he is so unaware of the time to pushed out of his net and still gives Smith an angle

Awful goalie

The puck was going threw the crease and a mile wide. I dump on Skinner as much as anyone but that puck doesn’t go in if it’s not for Draisaitl deflecting it. You can see Skinner scan the passing options and he’s aware the horn is about to go so he doesn’t think he needs to worry about any threat of the puck going threw the crease. The threat ended up being his own teammate lazily stabbing at a puck.

Okay again, if there were no passing options and three of his own players were in front of the net, why did he need to come out like that instead of hug his post?

Because he was playing the shooter and making himself as big as possible.
