HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2025 Playoff edition

I remember he brought his kids to the winnipeg jets dressing room on the request of his son.... this was many years back.

Apparently he lives in the .middle of nowhere in the Canadian prairies and loves crown royal.

He's got that American mindset but there's also so much Canadian about him.... being from Minnesota makes you partially Canadian by itself.

Call me a homer but the Tom Wilson circlejerk is getting old. In the 7 years since his very good play during their cup run he’s been a borderline nobody that can’t stay healthy or available for his team due to stupid hits. I hope I live long enough for inter-dimensional travel so I can journey to the one where Wilson debuted in the ‘90s and gets Ryan VandenBussche’d :sarcasm:

Edmonton's depth is doing a good job this year. They'll be tough to beat despite the GMs doing a terrible job last summer. He did lot better at the deadline though. Perry, Kane, Fredric. Good sandpaper. Podkolzin has been a nice catch. Another example of don't give up too soon when a kid struggle.

Man McDavid is scary when he comes in like that lol

And when the guy on the other side is Draisaitl?
Forget about it lol
Game over

2-0 going back to EDM

Great game honestly
Stone was so weak on that play. I mean he lost his board battle against Bouchard like if Bouchard was a 6'7 giant with titanic strength.

Re sale Tickets for a playoff game in 2nd round were by far cheapest in Vegas.
Under 200$ for lower bowl

Tickets in Vegas traditionally have not been cheap during their existence.

I do wonder how much the political tension under this current administration is hurting a city like Vegas, which appears to rely on tourism and related industries more than most cities.

Drafting for need gets you Jesperi Kotkaniemi. Horrible pick.
I don't know how it played out but I'm assuming he was the consensus pick among Montreal's scouting team. As with most draft picks, there is no guarantee that they will become the player they envisioned. You win some, you lose some, my grievance was that they kept him up when he was so clearly not ready, things might have turned out differently had they not done that. Anyone with eyes and knows a minimal amount of hockey could see he was not ready for prime time and Montreal has a tendency to do this sort of thing at the detriment to the player and often the team. They did the same thing recently with Slafskovsky his first season.

That had to be one of the worse game I have seen from McDavid. His puck handling was terrible, he kept fumbling the puck

But somehow he still end up being the one that created the winning goal.
