HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2025 Playoff edition

In the last 2 games alone, he missed an empty net twice to ice the game. For a goal scorer like him, this is unacceptable.
With 2 min left, soft and failed to clear which gave Florida a grade A chance to tie the game.

Just some examples... dude is soft.
He is 4th on the team with hits. And did you see how he missed the nets? Both times a panther got a stick in the way and both times Matthews was at the end of a shift and gasping. Cause and effect my friend, cause and effect.

man the avs were dumb

I'm starting to think it might be the worst trade of the Avalanche history. Rantanen is a beast. And I wish we could have gotten into that derby. Cause power forwards of this magnitude don't grow on trees. I would have given him the money. But I'm thinking he probably had a limited teams list where he wanted to go, right.

I didn't see any Panthers stick in the way. He is supposed to bury those no matter what, he is not making Jake Evans money.

He shouldn't work in the NHL again. He can go fill shelves at the grocery store if he wants to work.

I don't have a problem with him never working in the NHL. Although I wish I knew exactly the whole story before passing judgement and how it happened. It's very human to not want to be distracted by something happening, even something pretty bad. Cause humans tends to zone out into what they are doing. It's not an excuse but perhaps it wasn't as devious as it is perceived. Again I may be wrong but I wasn't there.

Personally I would never hire him just on the basis of this thing overing over people's heads. I don't see how players can have a good perception of him and willing to play for him.

Hey Quenneville is a coach again. I mean...thank god they don't have language issues elsewhere than Montreal....no stone are left unturned and they can actually pick the VERY BEST candidate out there....lol
