Kyrou is so damn good. Blues are similar to the Stars. They have a strong management team that keeps pulling rabbits out of their hats. The Broberg and Holloway OS were a masterclass of GMing.

They don't hesitate to try to win with kids instead of losing with vets and this has been going on in the org for a while so this must come from over the GM. Always a good mix of vets AND kids. When they won the cup they had 19 years old Thomas playing a depth role in the bottom 6 DURING the playoffs. Draft well. Develop well. Keep their picks. Don't hesitate to move on from vets. Don't hesitate to try kids when a vet doesn't work. Everything we don't do basically.
So they lose when shiefele decapitate someone and lose when someone decapitate him .

This 1st period is why USA did not play Connor in 4 Nations final. He is so, so bad defensively. Caufield is already better than this guy. Cole has more compete & far more drive defensively.
Connor just lets Kyrou go on the 1st goal like WTF, dude. And, that giveaway for the 2nd goal was just brutal. Atrocious.
Helleybuck should have had that 2nd goal, albeit he was screened by Morrissey. Jets as a team are choking though.

Just last season he was being booed by Blues fans & was crying in the dressing room about it. I was hoping we could trade for him, but they decided to hold on to him. He didn't end last season well.
imo, jets are a much lower seed without regular season Helleybuck. No quality C depth after scheifele and their D…ugh

Yes because we rebuild but what after? There's certainly a push from the fans and the media to go back to old school. Hope KH will be able to ignore it.

I'm glad you're bringing this up. Caufield may be small, but he's not a unidimensional scorer anymore. He worked hard at his overall game both last year and this year, sometimes to the detriment of his own numbers. But it also brings me to another point. Look at this:

Oh yeah, if Helleybuck is just a little above average this year, they're fighting for the #8 spot with Minnesota & Calgary. Their D sucks outside of Morrissey. It's too small too, which is why they picked up Schenn.
