HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2025 Playoff edition

Blues is not really a big team anyway not the forwards. The have the russian guy, the sweedish guy and Faksa the rest is pretty much 6'0 and 6'1.

More skills is a far bigger priority.
They know how to play physical as a team. Not just 1 or 2 guys like us.
Schenn destroyed Scheiffle right out of the playoffs.

Some people just can't play under pressure

I always thought Helleybuck had a terrible glove hand. He gets away with it in season because he's a right handed catcher, but Colorado & now St. Louis have really exploited that part of his game in play-offs. The game winning goal in 4 Nations final by McDavid was over the glove.

But, worse is, he's definitely not fighting through it. He had terrible body language on the 4th goal. He had already given up.

He's playing too deep in his net & giving shooters way too much space to shoot at. It's his style to play deeper than average, but he's even deeper than usual. He's just giving up way too much net.

Jets fans are rightly pissed.

When I was in school I was good goalie. They use to say couldn't get a pea by him. Come every big game I would allow 6 or 7 goals against. Nerves just got to me. Tried to do too much, started grabbing the stick tighter. I never could get over it

The home team has won each game in the Blues/Jets series. So if that trend continues, Jets should win Game 7. But it would be crazy if the home team wins each game except Game 7, the road team wins it.

The things is Helle has fought through nerves and gotten to the pinnacle of the sport. It’s strange to think that only in the playoffs is it too much pressure on him.

I’m glad we don’t have this predicament or any goalie controversy. He’d be eaten alive right now in Montreal.

Sounds like a skill issue sadly, not gonna lie...

That's the problem SN gives us

This was a talking point on a local vancouver radio station recently. Why are the habs less hated than the leafs despite both fanbases coming out in droves in their home rink.

Ultimately, it came down to media coverage and they also talked of a certain class and reverence towards the habs franchise.

Dallas is really missing their best forward and their best Dman.

I find Johnston, Robertson and Hintz to be interchangeable as far as their best player, but yeah, huge losses. Heiskanen especially was a big reason for their runs in recent years.

Josh Manson has 1 goal in 48 games this season. He's got a goal in back to back games in game 6 and 7.
And O'Connor an underachiever at the NCAA level who plays an insane role for the Colorado Avs. O'Connor had stats in his 3rd year to convince EVERY team to not sign him and let him play his senior year. Avs sign him at year 3 out of nowhere and here we are....

Robertson scored 100+ points 2 seasons ago which is why I consider him Dallas's best forward but you are right, Hintz and Johnston are no slouches. Heiskanen is the biggest piece that is missed.
