HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2025 Playoff edition

Kudos to Sens fans, they kept saying the best is yet to come with him despite everyone saying he's better suited as a 2nd pairing dman on a good team.
Such a great skater and extremely smart. The funny thing is many of our draft experts questioned his hockey IQ.

They need to stop reading Bader. He should be starring in a Revenge of the Nerds remake instead of tweeting about the draft.

Honestly pretty salty we didn't draft this guy. Feel like the new regime definitely would've over whats his face.
Huge fail! The type of player we have needed for decades. We always get bullied by those types of big, gritty, in your face forwards with talent.

Our loss was a divsion rival's gain.

Yeah simply turrible. Ah well, I hope we continue to smash them more often than not moving forward.

They didn't love Guhle in that same draft too. I got so much flak for suggesting we pick Guhle.
I remember that. Guhle was a great pick and was a big time riser going into the draft.

We now have a lot of high end skilled players which are the hardest to draft. Time to draft more players who are assholes on the ice and make life miserable for opponents.

He sure is! A lot of our draft junkies in here didn't like him in his draft year. I have no idea why but he didn't get a lot of love.

Not being able to outscore Quinn Hughes was the biggest issue but it ended up being two things. Quinn Hughes is really f***ing good. Draft eligible forwards scoring in the NCAA is generally tough to do.

Other things for me personally- back then I was mainly skills pilled and undervalued the other elements of the game that do matter but just not being the only thing that mattered (essentially digging too deep to the opposite side to combat Bergevinitis). And the other one being i got caught up in NPs and Mrb1ps evaluations and started to let it drag me further into the nonsense.

I still don't like the dude as a person and do think he gets overrated at times, but my evaluation of him was shit and I got it completely wrong.
