Yes, I believe Maxim Tsyplakov of NYI got a 3 game suspension this past season for an illegal check to head. He got no penalty during the game for his hit.

Ditto Trevor Zegras. He got 3 games for Interference but wasn't penalized during game.

NHL officiating continues to be a f***ing embarrassment. Don’t get me wrong, nfl and nba officiating also sucks at times, but you rarely see the idiotic game management one sees in the NHL.
NJ was up 3-0 and canes committed at least 2-3 more egregious penalties that they ignored. They could’ve had a chance to go up by 4-5 goals.
Now we’re tied again at 4 after they decided to put Carolina up two men on a PP.
several of the calls vs NJ have been iffy- calls they missed vs canes earlier. It’s like they establish a new set of rules each period. none of this makes sense

Seems like the refs are falling more and more for the dive, maybe the scouts should start looking for the best actors to draft in the future.

He seems like a 4th liner who works hard.
