HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2025 Playoff edition

Pacioretty never had a #1 C to play with, but which elite goalscorers had Subban AND Markov feeding him the puck nonstop? If he had a #1C to play with but one of Subban/Markov were #4 dmen, he'd be a similar player. f*** him, the guy is a disgrace of a captain and took a shot at us not being a well prepared team where he should have set the tone as the captain.

Terrible news. Apparently, it was unexpected. My dad died of a heart attack. I went into shock during the phone call then sobbed like a baby. I managed to pull myself together to get ready to go home as I was living on the west coast. My family was in Ontario. I got to the airport, sat down & started sobbing like a baby again.

I wish him the best. He seems like an emotional guy, so I'm sure he's going through it. RIP, Mr. Scheifele.
Same here. Totally unexpected and hard to accept as I immediately flew home same day.

Gotta wonder what was going on with the Leafs the two previous games. Last night was night-and-day, like watching a different team. I'm seriously wondering if they were sick earlier in the week. We joke about the Leafs' lack of heart, but they passed the test last night, just like Florida failed the heart-test by being shutout in an elimination game in front of their fans.

Florida can play a stronger game-7, but it may not matter if Toronto plays the same way, this time at home.

I have to admit having some sympathy for long-suffering Leafs fans, just like I'm developing a real dislike for the Panthers' dirty players. Weird to say, but I didn't mind last night's results!

🤢
