Weren't they like -37 in goal differential. Shows how weak some of these teams were.Washington is going to get swept & be the 1st team out of the playoffs.

Look at how garbage that Detroit team we played was at the end of the season and they almost got in. Extremely weak year for the bottom half of the Eastern playoff teams.Weren't they like -37 in goal differential. Shows how weak some of these teams were.
Sad but expected. That last wild card spot was really the "let's see who gets to lose to the Rangers" sweepstakes. Ironically Washington was probably the worst of the bunch Habs legend Charlie Lindgren helped them just enough to get in thoughWashington is going to get swept & be the 1st team out of the playoffs.
yeah that's true... but that was his 9th season. he only had 1x 56 pioint before that. the rest were mid 40s or lower ... I don't think most people are gonna be expecting a player with that sort of sample size and consistency over it, to suddenly explode into a 100 point player. He had his first 70 points season at 26. He pretty much kept getting better in his early twenties as a 20 goal 50 point player until his off year in Tampa Bay. He was one NYs best scorers already in his early 20s. He always looked good offensively and stood out imo
