HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2024-2025 season

Well Michkov is in a slump so doesn't help.

2 points in his last 13 games with -17

What is the old saying again? .... progression is not linear? Must be something lika that can't remember ...

There's a lot for him to work on. His shooting skills are amazing, but he's small & needs to work on his skating. He was also cherry picking a lot.

As soon as Torts started to talk about making him a better player, I was like, oh, oh, so much for Michkov.

He's even taken him off PP1, which is really stupid because he's still a quality PP specialist. Oh well ....

But, yeah, they're doing the 2nd half dive again.

Top 3 rookies reviews; Michkov issues are discussed. This guy blows away anything TSN/Sportsnet produce btw.

Another guy making good content;

Shots count more precise because of gambling.

Interesting point about *Insiders* running out of trades rumors to talk about so they gossip about other stuff, this video came out yesterday and now we have Bruins drama.

He also talks about *glitch* goals we see a lot lately.

Maybe Vancouver/Bruins should do a swap.

Not sure which club should end up with both Miller and Marchand.
Peety for Pasta.

I watched the Hutson part of that vid over and over yesterday. Good stuff.

That's just going to cause Pasta to be the one complaining about Miller complaining about his play. Because that's Peety's problem with Miller.

So the best is clearly to have Peety+Pasta on one team and Miller+Marchant on the other.

...in the minority here, but I'd trade Peety...at least Miller has a killer instinct...

They could be out of a playoff spot as early as tommorow. Unthinkable a couple weeks ago.

They'll need to lose to Florida tomorrow (a definite possibility) & 2 of Montreal, CBJ & Pittsburgh win their games. CBJ can pass them with one point, but Montreal & Pittsburgh can't.

CBJ @ St. Louis
Sens @ Pens
Dallas @ Montreal

Yeah, first day where they're clinging to a playoff spot since Montgomery was fired.

This is off topic but this is the view from my daughter's boyfriend's place in LA. That's not a sunset. Absolutely horrifying, I feel so bad for all those affected. LA may never fully recover like New Orleans hasn't since Katrina

It is horrifying, but the Palisades and Malibu are 2 of the richest areas in US. California is the 5th largest economy in the world. They'll rebuild.

Clean-up is going to take awhile for sure.

Who's going to insure them? The uber rich can self insure but others can't. And at what point do people say enough between the fires, earthquakes, torrential rain (when it happens)? I mean, it's gorgeous and the climate is awesome but I know people who've had to evacuate 3 times in 5 years and who have now lost their home. I may be and hope I'm wrong but I think it's gonna be a long road back.

I wondered what Tim Walz was up to these days

I can't imagine the horror of losing your entire home, not to mention the threat to your life.

Here in Montreal we have our own climate issues, although obviously with much lower stakes. I've been condo shopping the past month. The market is wonky, depending on the impact of last summer's flood. I passed on a great place in Lachine because it had multiple flooding issues the past five years. People are accepting lowball offers. Nuts.

Last thing you want to tie yourself to is a leaky condo. Good that you’re doing your diligence.

Because those places are now uninsurable and basically have no value. Taking a lowball offer rids them of a headache.

Many more places will suffer the same fate because of the updated map on floodable areas.
