Same here. Knies was practically the Leafs' best player last playoffs.

I've also always liked Rielly. Poor guy's been forced to play over his head as their #1D. He's probably been there longer than anyone on the roster and has remained a hardworking anchor through bad times and good. Only one notable stain on his record: that suspension last year when he lost his mind for a moment - lol!.
hopefully he want 8.5 a year

Knies vs Slaf
Age 22.2 vs 20.8
TOI: 18:23 (2:12) vs 16:37 (3:13 pp)
hits per 60: 6.94 vs 8.42
blocked shot per 60 : 1.33 vs 2.00
PTS/G: 0.64 vs 0.58 (career avg 0.50 vs 0.52)
sh%: 22% vs 9%
I was referring to style of play, but I don't think that's in the cards

Slaf will be a big body skill based power F not a brute strength crash & bang type…nothing wrong with that
I've been saying that since he was drafted. I wish he was that but unfortunately it's not in the cards. You are correct when you say it's ok

he just needs to figure that out... Slaf your big
Nah … playing like the Tkachuk’s is an inherent (DNA) quality - that’s not in Slaf’s makeup & can’t try to be something one isn’t

Jagr was a big bodied skill based power F and turned out ok… to be honest so was John LeClair who is more the type of player I see Slaf capable of becoming - use big body to protect the puck and drive to the net. It took LeClair time to develop as well…

Its probably the leclair ptsd that I have which forces me to be patient.

They traded him after his 3rd year and he just took off in his career. He loved torching the Habs too.

Kaliyev to the Rangers feels like the worst fit for him lol

Rangers now get the perks of sucking. 7th pick on waivers. .. If it wasn’t the Rangers someone else would have probably picked him up.

He actually lived in New York from 2 to about 14, so he’s basically a New Yorker.

And maybe a sign: just like Nashville fans were pissed of losing Carrier, many Kings fans are pissed.

They're going to have a hard time paying all of Tavares, Marner & Knies. Knies will definitely be looking at what Cozens, Slaf & Lafreniere got in their long term deals. He's on pace for 30 goals & 50+ pts.

He's ripe for an offer sheet if they don't get him signed before July 1st. He's not eligible for arbitration.

Tavares is gone imo unless he accepts a huge salary drop.

Isn’t Tavares UFA?
He is.
