Why do people have to bring this every weeks? The guy is 20 years old for god sake the takes some posters have around here are crazy. Maybe wait for him to be 23 and then you can bark all you want.Kulich just scored his 2nd goal in 11 games. 2 pts in 11 games. On pace for 13 pts this year....
Where's the Kulich crowd at?
It definitely is. Here's how it looks while not remasteredIt's probably remastered. They can do a lot of really impressive stuff with AI enhancing now.
It’s not about the direct comparison — but rather how well Michkov hit the ground (ice) running.
Slaf played against adults in Finland, did well in the Olys and held his own against men in the Worlds and yet he struggled big time in the NHL as a rookie. So given all the VALID excuses put forth to contextual Slafkovsky’s rookie season, I find it remarkable how well Michkov has managed to keep up. He might win the Calder.
In fact, he’s out producing Slafkovsky this season.
Pretty impressive.
Why are we even comparing the two? They were not drafted the same f***ing year. Slafkovsky is one of the 3 best players in his draft for now with Cooley and Mintyukov. They are very close from each other and right now hard to know which one will end up being the best, I guess you could add Hutson to the mix but sample size is too small imo.Michkov was always a better prospect than Slafkovsky at every age they've been alive not sure why anybody would be suprised that he's better than Slaf going forward in their careers. They are different players though so I'm not sure I like the comparison , I also take Michkov over Nemec or Cooley or Wright so there's that
Over half his games were played in a not-NHL sized rink.
He’s a rookie who doesn’t speak English (Torts remarked on this recently). He’s adapting to a new culture, new league, etc.Sigh, more wortless drivel based on expectations of facts aligned with your own bias, but not the actual facts. If you were interested in facts, you would've also verified if the MHL also did this transition, seeing how the KHL his its parent league. And lo and behold the MHL also made the transition, which is just logical. But you're not looking for logic nor facts here. Michkov has played many games on NHL sized rinks since he was 16.
He's not adapting to NHL rink size. Full stop.

That’s my point. Not sure why you’re so hung up on MHL rink sizes. It was one bit of my comment that was of minor relevance — what’s funny is you won’t stop, Sochi was built for the Olympics it was IIHF sized — overall the comment is obvious: he’s adapted very very well.
What’s your point ?
His home arena was IIHF sized — you didn’t know this when you made your comment but you you know this now… and you’re still persisting. Not sure why?My point is simply to refute that lame argument you used TWICE. You can pretend it's minor, yet you repeated it, so you must've thought it had significant relevance. It doesn't. Take the L and move on.
It's not that I won't stop. The problem is you can't accept that it's wrong, where I need to reply to correct your cpunter arguments that don't hold water.
Instead of owning up to it, you counter argue even though you've loss that argument. That's you, not me.
Best two players along with Hutson. Why are we even comparing the two? They were not drafted the same f***ing year. Slafkovsky is one of the 3 best players in his draft for now with Cooley and Mintyukov.
Lmao there he isMichkov OT winner, guess Torts trusts him more now

Adapting to new ice, new language, etc. on pace for 69pts in his rookie season. Slafkovsky was on pace for 20.
I watched the game, he looked really good. He was constantly generating offence and creating chances for the Flyers.
A rookie that’s producing and looks dominant right off the gate. We could have used one of those.

Trusting a rookie to play in OT — yes. What part of it is wrong? You're seriously just a troll, because you have no idea that Michkov scored on a PP. You don't give a crap about the kid, and you definitely didn't watch the game. Trust the kid on a PP in OT? Give me a f***ing break.
Being gaslight for three straight years while every excuse in the book is yanked out to excuse Slafkovsky’s initial performances and the Michkov non-pick does cause an honest person to want to set the record straight: the excuses for both Slafkovsky and the non-pick were exaggerated to deflect criticism. You just want to stir shit up.

This board at time is insufferable. The takes people have over 18-22 years old players are simply crazy. It's not like it's just one bad take every 40 games it's daily like i feel some posters would be happy if Slafkovsky would bust. They certainly try very hard to bring him down. Reading this board it'S like all our prospects are terrible and they will all bust no exception. Even Hutson i feel people are not as high as they should be he's a special prospect.
