I am not a fan of Barron and think Lily has better upside.
I don't agree at all. Leafs have not been patient with him.

Defensemen can take time, and they opt to go for lateral moves at the deadline instead of giving him a chance. They have never shown confidence in him. He's at the very least a bottom pairing D, something I can't say for many of the D we are trotting out there right now. He would have been useful for us.
But you want to give up a 22 year old who has far more runway than Lillgren

The funny thing about that is right now people are like Monahan would help should have signed him but in 5 years if Hage develops people will take Hage for granted and still think we should not have traded Monahan. They want the cake and eat it too.
Still quite young too only 26.
