I'm cheering for Tampa, partially because it would illustrate a point that I made all playoffs, that Tampa + Kucherov is by far the single best team in the league and that it was not an epic choke job to lose to them. Losing to the defending Cup champs and (at least IMO) the likely repeat champs is called a good lesson and experience for our still-very young core group. After they get ass-wiped by the salary cap, that will be our turn to potentially make a move for league supremacy.

After thinking really long and hard about this for several agonizing minutes, I have decided I do not give half a shit about whoever is playing, one way or another.

As I said in the round 3 thread:

I still don't like Montreal and don't want Canada to win a Cup as long as possible because it's funny. I also just don't think they're very good.

I hate Tampa's shenanigans but they're a truly championship caliber team. Not just a shit team on a heater. Go Tampa sadly.

Right there with you. We (Ottawa) dummied them in the last 4 games. And I KNOW we weren’t any good. Yes they have Caufield now...but cmon. All of the sudden their D is a damn brick wall?

I STILL don’t buy it. And I like Tampa. They’ve got a ton of really good players. I want them to win in 4.

Agreed. Somehow I CARE MORE ABOUT NBA BECAUSE IT IS UNFU^KED NOW.

Two cursed teams vs two star players that would greatly improve their legacy by winning. Not to mention CP3 who would probably sign with the Devil to get this one.

Yeah I remember how getting destroyed by Boston 2 years in a row would be a learning lesson for this team/front office/franchise. Narrator: It wasn't.

And I never wanted Boston to win the Cup just to make it look better how we went out and I'm not going to start for Tampa either. As Michael Jordan eloquently put it: f*** them kids.

Go Habs Go.

Nonsense. It still is a learning lesson. These guys were young then and are still young now. Boston and Tampa are both much more seasoned and experienced postseason teams than we are.

Blake Coleman makes it 2-0. I love me that Goodrow-Gourde-Coleman line. We could certainly used one of them next to Jordo this offseason. Preferably Gourde, who I have a bit of a man-crush for as far as play-style is concerned. Coleman wouldn't be a bad consolation prize by any means, either.

Habs need to get more pucks to the net which is easier said than done when it seems like every lane has 3 Tampa players in it.
