What is his upside?
Is he gonna be a 60pts, 70pts or 80pts player?
What's your thought on him?

hockeyman28 said:hes a great young player, and loves to stand on the left side of the net on the PP, right across from crosby. If he can stay up with the pens and on crosbys wing, he could be a consistent 100 point guy. He makes great cross crease passes and knows how to finish, but will be the biggest threat on the PP.

A CONSISTENT 100 point player!?!?!?
Who in the world NOW is a consistent 100 point player? Jesus H Christ, man. Get a grip on reality!

I liked him but it took him a lot of work to make it to the NHL. He could have a nice career but he won't be a star.

Ouellet isn't good enough a skater to be a top echelon scorer. He's got good hand though and a knack fro the net, which makes him a great component on the powerplay, and thats where his career lies.
You might see him pull out one really big year numbers-wise during his career, but generally I'm thinking a 35-25 guy. Useful scorer.
I'm a bit young to remember him so I cant sayclefty said:The best comparison I've heard is Ray Sheppard.

hockeyman28 said:wow did i ever get flamed. I am basing the 100 pt /season estimate on the fact that crosby will be up around 140-160 in his prime. Like alot of players who played with the greats, I think oullet will be a great scorer. He needs to work on his skating, but he is a sniper for sure and is a perfect compliment for crosby. Without crosby i say he ends up with 50-60 pt a year. Hes still young, who knows, i mean if he played the full season this year hed be projecting about 75 points, as a rook, is it too farfetched to suggest hed be at 100 in his prime, honestly?
