Ottawa wins a game Series 3-1 MTL.

Forgot to mention this. Patches-DD-Weise as our first line? Is this the best idea you can come up with Therrien? This is absolutely brutal. Brutaly mind boggling. It's by far the worst "1st line" of the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs. ****ing embarrassing. This coach has no imagination at all and his only solution is to switch Weise on every line.

I thought Gallagher was downright terrible tonight, seemed like he couldn't create anything whenever he had the puck on his stick.

What's unfortunate is that the Habs' were actively passing out of their zone, carrying the puck in on EV and on the PP, and the D had very few long bomb stretch passes and pucks off the glass. The one puck off the glass that cost them was of course Gilbert getting a bad bounce and then the game winner.

That's the most I've seen them do that since I can remember, which is good, but they didn't look comfortable doing so at times because they've rarely played that way.

Aside from that, they need to insert another skilled player into the lineup and give Eller one of Gallagher or Galchenyuk, so you have a threat to score on 3 lines, and of course the 4th can still contribute.

He's the only one on his line doing the dirty work. The reason EGG worked well is because Eller would help Gallagher downlow. It wasn't only Gallagher fighting for pucks. It also opened up space for Galchenyuk to do his thing instead of worrying about chasing pucks. The line makes sense when you take a look at each player's personal styles.

We will never see it though. Ever.

It's really simple people. The Habs are in extreme defensive mode hoping Price will Carry them through. It worked for the first three games......barely. Tonight was an obvious case of Game three heroic (let's try and repeat) state of mind. It did not work!!!!!!!! Playing tight and waiting for a mistake to capitalize like tonight? Sens are coming back and we're done. Therrien needs to adjust and we need to go into attack mode from the very beginning. This sitting back ******** makes me really ,really nervous. I don't care if we have Price.
Tonights game left me feeling like........"Did we even have a shot on goal?"
no pressure on Anderson at all.........easy shut-out and that blows because his balls just grew a bunch tonight.

Stick it to them in Montreal on Friday and end it in the first period!!!!

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Smith-Pelly
Gallagher - Eller - Galchenyuk
Weise - Mitchell - Flynn
Prust - DD - De La Rose

I agree that he's the only one doing the dirty work and that him with Eller would be really good, although what I was saying is that I thought he was bad offensively tonight. He just lost the puck on so many occasions and seemed to be missing on alot of his passes.

Galchenyuk now would ruin the EGG line if reunited.

I'm a little pissed that Therrien didn't call a time out around the 7-8 minute mark and read them the riot act. He saw the game slip away and just stood there. I'm really disappointed in that.

He never use his timeouts correctly and only do so for icing. I mean he could have use one with 3 minutes left to regroup the boys and put out some kind of strategy and play the right lines, but that's too much to ask for this coach and he just stood there like a clueless buffoon chewing his gum . He was ineffective tonight just like the rest of our forwards.

There is absolutely no way of knowing if you don't try and it's not like his current line working anyway. I hate when people justify keeping things status quo by automatically assuming the alternative will fail. The current option isn't working, it's not like the other can get any worse offensively.

Our guys were good at getting the puck out of our zone, but they couldn't create anything in the offensive zone.

he was hoping for another Weise moment ala game 3.......I get it. We can afford it, but not in Game 5. I hope the mentality changes or we are screwed.

Am I the only one that wondered why Price wasn't pulled with 2 mins to go, and the face off in the Sens zone?

#Therrien. Him and effective strategy doesn't go hand in hand. I mean Price was pulled with 30 seconds left on the clock. It's like the coach was on another planet.

We'll be alright, my friends.

Canadiens in 5.

I agree. It's just a really frustrating loss. If the Canadiens lost, but played balls to the wall, no one would care...but man, that was really uninspiring. It didn't feel like a PO game at all. The sens weren't in it either. The Habs should have put a dagger in it.

If the Sens win game 5 MT will start feeling the heat.

He should have been feeling the heat before game 4, Ottawa embarrassed us in 2013 playoffs and embarrassed us pretty much all season. We needed to sweep these guys, and they better get it done in game 5 at home or real possibility of losing the series. terrible effort tonight. :shakehead

Don't worry, it will be fine. I have a hard time seeing the habs lose two in a row against this version of the sens. They were shutout tonight...bound to pot a few next game.

Paccioretty-Eller-Gallagher
Galchenyuk-Pleky-Weise
Prust-Desharnais-DSP
DLR-Mitchell-Flynn

Would be my line b4 putting Galchenyuk on the 3rd line cause he stinks this playoff.
