How much $$$ do you have?Trying to find some clarity regarding goalie development/ training. Is this mandated by the HEO Midget AAA? How much $ is available?

It’s not how much I have, but rather how much we have spent to play in this league.... ZERO goalie specific coaching so far.
Haha, ok......I think the 1 team has the owner listed as the "goalie coach", He takes your $$$$ calls himslef coach and gives limited coaching if any at all.....It's the same team that did thier baseline concussion testing in Feb. last year after someone asked when and if it was going to be done since they paid for it....Every Midget team is suppose to have a goalie coach. If that's not the case, they have to send their goalies to goalie specific training.

Starts in Timbits....kids are developed by several coaches at several levels throughout there Minor Hockey...then usually lots of individual skill clinics....PEP, Pat Malloy, Next Gen, Endevour Sports...Congratulations to the Ottawa Capitals on winning the Peterborough Minor Midget tournament.
OVT bantams plus some other good players from the U 18 league.
3 years of development in ODMHL starting at peewee, 4 months in U18.
Developed when? By Who?

Could anyone provide some insight into what happens to U18 AAA players that don't want to play or can't play U18 as a 17 year old in Ottawa? From my understanding the U18 league only allows two 17 year old players per team and the majority of these teams opt not to have 17 yrs old players playing on their U18 teams? Are these 17 year old's forced to play either Midget AA/B or JrB?
By the looks of the path the CCHL has taken, there are fewer and fewer 17 yrs old players playing JrA in Ottawa. Do their CCHL clubs hold these 17 yrs old players rights or can they choose to leave the area to try to play JrA elsewhere? Thanks
Any 17yr old that has not signed a Jr A or Jr B card is a free agent. They can sign with any jr team in Ontario.Could anyone provide some insight into what happens to U18 AAA players that don't want to play or can't play U18 as a 17 year old in Ottawa? Firstly, thank you for the information. If a player opts to go tryout for a team outside of Ottawa I'm guessing that he needs a permission to skate form? If so who provides the permission to skate? Is it the U18 AAA club or the minor hockey association where the player originally signed up with/belongs (for example Ottawa Sting Minor Hockey, Kanata Minor, RSL Minor, Nepean Minor, ect)?Any 17yr old that has not signed a Jr A or Jr B card is a free agent. Once they are 18yrs old they can sign with any Jr team in Canada...as long as they have not signed a Jr card.
17yr olds can sign in the SIJHL, NOJHL,OJHL,GOJHL...any player who feels that the grass is greener on the other side
is in his full rights to explore his options and CCHL or CCHL2 teams can do nothing about it...that's the way it should be and has always been that way. All leagues have their pros and cons...no league is perfect...find the right fit for yourself...do what u think is best for u as a player
What happened to the championship tournament
It still happened however the 4 teams who qualified for the semis in the Road to Telus Championship where told the could opt out of this tournament.
[/QUOTE]Found this on another HF boards site.
QUOTE="OSA, post: 157890843, member: 122110"]Each year, I always set aside 1 day to attend some OHL Cup games. This will be the second year iirc that no Ottawa area teams are participating. So disappointing. HEO is a disgrace. They shouldn’t be allowed to impose their CCHL/NCAA agenda on the kids like this.
8 2 vote tonight...u18 now permanent.
Hey JC is there a place to see job openings at HEO or is there a meeting where positions are filled?
Pretty nice results in the OHL draft. It looks like players who play in the league can still get noticed...
Not asking about players. Asking about actual jobs within these organizations (HEO for example). Whether it's for volunteer roles or paid roles how do you find out when they're looking to fill positions and how to apply. That's it.Not sure what organization you are asking about. Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO), HEO Minor, or one of the foundation Associations or Districts??
Good players get noticed no matter where they play.
