Would love to see for a little stretch:

Knies - Matthews - Robertson
McMann - Tavares - Nylander
Holmberg - Domi - Marner
Lorentz - Kampf - Dewar

Domi and Robertson were so good together last year - not sure why they're not being given a chance together to get Robertson going. Marner needs to run his own line with Tavares - put Nylander with Matthews

There is plenty of time to sort out the bottom six.

I'm happy that the team has been playing a consistent game, and has been defensively responsible. We've given up four goals, in the last four games. We aren't going to lose too many games, if we can keep the other team off the score sheet like that. Now, these are weaker teams, so I don't expect this to continue, but I do appreciate the consistent work ethic that they've recently shown, and the goaltending has been good too.

While our depth isn't scoring, they are also not getting scored against.

Robertson 1.6 GF/60 0.8 GA/60
McMann 3.0 GF/60 1.3 GA/60
Domi 2.5 GF/60 1.7 GA/60

Lorentz 2.5 GF/60 2.5 GA/60
Reaves 1.7 GF/60 1.7 GA/60

Kampf 1.7 GF/60 3.0 GA/60
Holmberg 0.4 GF/60 2.5 GA/60

The first three are winning the battle on the ice, scoring more than we get scored against... sre, we'd like to see them score more for sure, but if they can keep on winning the battles... Robertson has been surprisingly effective at not getting scored against. Yes, we need his goals.

Lorentz and Reaves at least aren't hurting us too bad. Kampf gets some of the heavy D work, so we might excuse him a little, but what the F is Holmberg doing?

One is paraded around by us like he’s the player that makes everyone way better so why isn’t it not a Mitch issue all his assist came on Nylander goals so I think it’s a 2 way street
Because when you watch the games Marner plays well and Domi hasn’t. At least in my opinion.

Robertson has done absolutely NOTHING to deserve to be on the top line.

In fact I'd argue he doesn't deserve to be in the lineup at all.

1 point all season does not cut it for a guy that's supposed to be a depth scorer

I assume Stolarz goes tonight, and Woll goes tomorrow given that tonight is a division game.

But I would be tempted to start Woll tonight and Stolarz tomorrow because I kind of want the #1 going against Ovechkin and to me at this point Stolarz is the #1 guy.

With the way the Leafs now play, I don't think it matters which goalie is in net. High danger chances against are so much lower now that things have become easier for the guys in net.

Likely eyeing the 20th against Vegas. He'll be down at the Dome Thursday/Friday/Saturday this week.

According to CJ on overdrive yesterday It's looking like the 16th.

Which would be great because that's Edmonton, which means that's Mcdavid.

You know Matthews wants to play that game.

Hate having to miss that game myself but you couldn’t pay me to go anywhere near the city the next two weekends

Hopefully McMann has a good game tonight.
After he started the season in the pressbox, scored 3 goals in his first 3 games, he literally has not scored a goal since.
He has a total of 1 assist in his last 12 games played.
