The decline in his footspeed is sadly noticeable. Since last playoffs, I don't know if it's injuries that have piled up, being out of shape or what, but he can't quite pivot or quickly shift himself like he used to be able to do. If someone comes at him with pressure and speed he seems to get turned pretty easily and then often loses the ensuing race after.
There was a moment right in front of us in the second period of game 1, where both he and Carlo got caught out for an extended shift in their own end, unable to get off the ice.

When the puck was finally cleared, Carlo, who spent most of the shift battling in the corner/behind the net/net front, glided to the bench for a change, looking like he does this for breakfast. By comparison, Rielly looked like a steamboat trudging along massive cargo trying to just make it to the door.

Whether he's unfit, or hurt, or some combination of the two, he's a liability right now.

I’m in Ottawa Saturday and wanted to buy tickets for me and my girl. Why are their tickets double the price of ours???

I’ll be rocking one of my Leafs jerseys the whole time I’m in their city either way

I don’t get the hate, Brady’s a beast, ignoring the fact is the sigh of stupidity or ignorance………

Brady is a beast the same way Knies is... if he is one of your best players, you are in trouble.

Amazing complimentary player though.

That is where the hate is coming from, people think he is going to put up 20 points and single handily take out the Leafs.

Brady is no doubt still injured. I don't expect him to do anything in this series.

Inflated secondary market trying to ward off the Leafs Nation Invasion. Spoiler alert: it won't work.

They've held most of their playoff tickets back so that they go to season ticket holders only. This morning, they released more exclusively to STHs, including standing room only.

So now you have a bunch of STHs, sitting on 4 or even 6 tickets per home game, but they don't need that many tickets, so the resale market is popping off, which will ultimately end up with Leafs fans getting their hands on them.

That’s the difference between the Leafs and the Sens, they only gave a supporting cast, slthough I think Brady’s more than that, but on his iwn in that department………

Those games are sold out, so you must be looking at secondary market prices... if so, that is your answer.

Sens fans love their team, but love selling their tickets even more lol

Hope you make it to the game, the atmosphere will be awesome with so many Leaf fans in the building!

Kadri chased his target down while Tavares was in the process of checking the guy.
Big difference there.

Same thing with Reilly's suspension: If you go after a guy, especially if it's a "non-hockey play" (after the whistle even worse), then the league will come down hard on you.

Also, there's an argument he hit Tavares' shoulder (upper body) first. From the few angles I saw it wasn't clear to me.

Personally, I thought a 5 was warranted but not to the point I was outraged he didn't get it as I do get the basis for the call.
You are explaining rules so good. Could you please pick apart run on Stolarz and no penalty on the play.
(Not that I was unhappy with refs overall).

Carlo’s probably thinking how did I get stuck with this stiff?
To be fair there was a lot happening on that play. No supporting forward, Carlo loses the puck instead of throwing it up the boards, Reilly should have boxed out Ottawa forward, but puck was bouncing and went under the Stolarz who could not find it.
Goal is usually not just one mistake. It’s several mistakes that lead to it.

The problem is that there is a lack of consistency. It's not clear what the league looks for because they had made it seem like the intent didn't matter and that any and all headshots would be punished with serious consequences, but that's not really what we're seeing in real time and the rules seem to be different for every player and team.

Regardless, if you want to really get rid of predatory type plays where there's still an intent to hurt a guy, even if it's not a headshot, then they should still be called seriously. People throw a big stink about using the stick to injure but then want to give a minor for a play like that?
