I was thinking about it earlier but the Leafs bear an eerily resemblance to the early 2000's Senators. Mega talented cores that couldn't get over the hump, sabotaged by some weak goaltending along the way. The Sens did eventually make a cup final and got throughly stomped by the Ducks, fading into obscurity afterwards. Just made me think will that be the fate of this core in a few years.

Next year we have cap space hopefully we make it work so we have solid tending moving forward. Also hoping Woll turns out to be a solid tender for us

He is a really nice dude. I remember he saved someone from getting robbed in Ottawa. He didn't have to but he did.

They absolutely are the 2000’s senators, without the presidents trophy.

I made fun of those sens teams to no end, and now I’m on the other end of it.
