No it won't. This is the Toronto market being the Toronto market. No NHL team is giving Nylander 11 million. Certainly not a contender. Leafs can offer 8 years so he can get the same money but a lesser AAV to help the team win. 10.5 max.

That is actually a result of poor coaching. The trailing player on a 2on1 against us has always taken the puck carrier this season. It’s very very strange but that’s how they want it played. Not Willy’s fault he did what he was told.

Aho just got close to 10 and is worse.

Meier just got 8.8 and is worse.

Someone spent 10.5 on Huberdeau until he is like 52.

Gaudreau got close to 10.

Lower cap when all those players signed... I don't think it is out of the question for another team to offer him 11.

Yep. He's gonna want to be in the ballpark of what Austin got paid just like when they came off their ELC's. I expect Marner to be demanding 12.5-13M next season.

Whether it's here or not, he'll get a raise based on the cap going up if nothing else.

Projected cap is 92 million, Huberdeau got 12.73%, that is $11.7 and I think Marner is worth more...

May be looking at something between 11.5 and 12.5.
