If my calculations are correct, Ottawa centers are going to skate the puck with authority down the center of the ice all night long, Lane Hutson will be a -3, Ottawa scores 5 and Montreal realizes they aren’t a playoff team.

By about 7:29pm tonight Montreal is going to realize their rebuild is still 2 years away.

Habs got that whole one-sided rivalry thing going on with us.

Like... We don't think about you guys at all haha.

HOWEVER, I do enjoy our 12-0-0 record over them over the last couple of years. Keep it up! We'll have to lose eventually...

But not tonight.

I want the team to play a solid defensive game. The Fs must be aggressive on the forecheck, backcheck and particularly defending in their own D zone. There must be no passengers (lazy players) and puck-watching instead of marking a man. It's time for Green to teach them how to play that way for 60 minutes. Kick some arses if necessary. We cannot have a DJ Smith approach if we want to make the playoffs.

There is going to be times where the look slow defensively as they adjust to what Green wants.

Also a road game and Ottawa has to have a winning road record this year if they want to make the playoffs so this game to me is bigger than game 1. This is a must win IMO.

I think to fight you see 1 team that knows it is a playoff team with a chip on its shoulder and lots to show and prove to the NHL, and another team thinking some skill and hard work is going to dazzle frazzle them into a playoff spot - tonight you’ll see a contest between Men and Boys, tonight is a statement game

The Sens need to totally cave in that 3rd pairing on D - looking forward to the chaos the Perron - Pinto - Amadio line can wreck upon it.

Looking forward to killing off at least 3 Montreal Typical penalties this game.

"Technically it is a penalty when you dig into the rule book, it's just not usually called, good on the referee for enforcing it" - and we never see it called again, certainly not to the benefit of a team that's not Montreal.

Third pair D and their bottom 6 we should hopefully be able to take advantage of. Like others have said, hoping this is a statement game. The boys always seem motivated vs. Montreal/Toronto, so hopefully that continues.

Interesting moving Greig to 4th line centre. I give Ostapchuk no later than Dec 1 before he becomes a full time NHL player.

Gaudette pulled already. Looks like they want a natural center on the 4th line. Wonder if it's more about getting Mac in for the matchup or unhappiness with Gaudette's first game.
Probably don’t like Gregor at Centre.

I want them to win the game. I don't care how they play as long as we get the two points.

Given what happened in preseason, Mac getting in has to be about making sure someone besides Brady can answer to any dirtiness. Gaudette's been fine.
